Meet a team member - Yuliya from Juliyamrboro

Handmade Lampwork Beads

Hello and Welcome to my boro-world!

In my shop you can find lampwork beads, made by me.

Many-many years ago in Italy, I saw Murano glass and fell in love with it. I've been lampworking since 2008 and I enjoy every moment working with glass and torch. Glass is an amazing thing, it's full of surprises!

I use soft glass too. My real love is BORO glass. Maybe, because my favorite style in jewelry is an organic style. BORO glass give you endless possibilities to express natures beauty.

When looking into lampwork beads you can imagine small universes such as lakes, seas, sandy beaches or the moon. Colors pop out like looking at flowers in a garden or wandering through a forest or a jungle.

If you have ANY questions, please, don't hesitate to contact me!

Thank you for your interest. Start creating!

Meet a team member - Trude from The Norwegian Saga

Norwegian made woven decorations, crochet and knitting

I'm from Norway where I work and live by the forest, my big inspiration. I weave, crochet and knit. And I do so with a lot of passion.

Every piece I make, whether it's a knitted piece of clothing or a woven wall hanging, is inspired by the old norwegian culture and mother nature's beauty. It can be the shape of a tree or the color of the leaves, in one way or another you can find a piece of nature and Norway in my creations.

Meet a team member - Vladimir from Vlad photography

ANALOG PHOTOGRAPHY • FINE ART PRINTS

Each photograph in my portfolio may as well be perceived as a single study. Each is beholding similar characteristics as a reflection of a daydreaming person. One who is very much fascinated by nature, often in an unreal or surreal manner. In this sense, I see my style of photography somewhere between Pictorialism and Impressionism. I try to collide and mimic all the qualities of these aesthetic movements.

I was an admirer of photography long before I went through studies in art and photography at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland. I am oriented towards fine art photography. I pride myself in my ability to use good old’ analog cameras and know-how of developing and processing films. I shoot with way heavy but beautiful, large and medium format cameras. My method involves a lot of experimenting with these tools. I modify or interchange parts from different cameras and build accessories that help me to create those dreamy scapes, organically, on the spot.

Thank you for visiting and for your kind support,

Vlad

Meet a team member - Helen from Sitara Handmade Jewelry

To create is one of the greatest joys !

I'm a happy designer and goldsmith from the land of the midnight sun. All my Sitara jewelry are handmade in Norway and each single gemstone are carefully selected by me ❤ I am strongly influenced by India with its sumptuous colorful culture.

I've also been collecting Norwegian and Nordic design jewelry "all my life".
I have a special love for the modernist jewelry, and the modernist Norwegian designers in particular.
I'm also very fond of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco era

I've been so fortunate to attend the PLUS-goldsmith education; the very same institution once attended by the world famous jewelry designers Tone Vigeland and Anna Greta Eker amongst others.

In my shop I sell both my own handmade Sitara jewelry and silver vintage jewelry.

Meet a team member - Viktoria from Dharma Art Design

Handcrafted jewelry since 2009

Hi!

I am Viktoria Breda and I'm an obsessed jewelry maker :)
I've been creating jewelry since September 2009, mostly of gemstones and minerals.

It started as a hobby, of course: something was missing, needed something extra to feel creative. My first audience were mineral exhibitions. Later I found a few retail sellers in my home country, started selling online, with more and more sales. Then, as I became more confident and had more and more sales, I started a small venture and it was my part-time job.

I had "grown international" when I discovered Etsy, and I felt very proud and happy that my work is appreciated in other countries, too. :o)

In January 2016, I moved to Norway with family - being expats, meant we had a lot to leave behind, including my venture, and new things to get used to, so now I am working on building my Norwegian and international business. Still, most of my sales come from in the US - Thanks! :)

What is my strategy? NO MASS PRODUCTION, but unique, handmade, often one-of-a-kind pieces (only a very few exceptions). My head is always full of new ideas and designs, my "workshop desk" is always full of materials and sketches of new designs, supplies waiting to be prepared - I am trying to keep up and share everything new here on Etsy (and on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest).

Please follow me to see my latest creations! :)

Meet a team member - Dawn from Cards and Collars

Creating cards they will save and dog collars you can trust.

My name is Dawn and I am an American living in Norway. I am a stay-at-home-mom for my young son, #magnustheviking.

I love working with my hands. I make cards, dog collars, knit, and crochet to keep my hands busy. I'll primarily have cards and collars on here, hence the name, but will occasionally have pictures of other handmade items.

We are an international family so you can send questions in either english or norwegian.

~About the cards~

All cards are made on a 300gsm card base with decorative papers, stamps, inks, and embellishments to create a custom theme. All cards are unique and can be personalized.

It's somewhat rare for me to put any sentiments or text inside the card. I think something handwritten and straight from the heart is what works best for people to know you are thinking about them and care. :)

~About the collars~

Most are 1" wide. The details will be listed under each photo. Most collars fit medium-sized dogs, i.e, Border Collie.

I started making collars because I couldn't find cute and simple collars in Norway. Since I have 4 dogs, it's much easier to just buy the raw materials and make them myself. But I found myself enjoying it so, now there are lots of extras. :)

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.!

Meet a team member - Asa from Aasa Angelica Design

Healing jewellery designed in Norway!

I have always been making all kinds of different stuff. When I was a kid, I did not go to kindergarten because I was busy drawing. I did not understand why the other kids where interrupting me. When I got older I took an education for sowing and 1 year at a private school to learn fashion. When I finished that I started my own business, but got cut up with some spiritual people and lived with them in Chile sewing there clothes for about 3 years. When I came home to Sweden (I am Swedish, but live know I'm Norway) I started working as a cleaner in schools and kindergartens. I had enough and took the train to Oslo, Norway, and started cleaning gyms. But after 10 years of cleaning my body shut down. Then I met the father of my oldest son and and we lived in Spain for a few years. When our son was 1 year old we came to back Norway. Then I went to learn photography in a private school.

I have tried many different jobs over the years such as training instructor, diving instructor, receptionist at hotels and gyms, and photography, but I never really fit in. After going thru "an awakening process", I found Reiki healing (always knew I had this in me) and went to learn how to heal myself and my family and friends.

So now after 45 years on this planet, I will spend my time doing what I love, designing new things such as jewellery that I always come back to making. So thank you for reading this and hopefully supporting me on this exiting journey!!!

Love from Åsa Angelica!

Meet a team member - Katerina from Bohemian summer tales

Boho Colorful Faux Jewels

Hello!

As you already know my name is Katerina. I am Greek, but I moved to beautiful Norway few time ago...

In this shop I am going to show you the other side of myself...(I have multiples sides when it comes in jewelry, I am afraid..)

Jewelry craftsmanship is an art.. You can't limit it or define what can be beautiful by its materials...

Through my travels all these years, I collected different kind of nature materials as wood, shells, stones, beads.. Materials that may be cheap, but they can definitely give a marvelous result!

In Norway I found the inspiration I was looking for to awake my nature lover side.

The amazing landscapes, the way of life the Norwegians have, the respect which they treat the environment, all found a place in my heart.

And I created this shop..

With love to natural materials and eco friendly approach.

All of them combining with my Mediterranean Boho culture and the lovely pictures I already have in my heart from Greece.

Even the photos of my jewels, have been taken on my garden yard!

Everything you see is a puzzle piece to complete the Bohemian Summer Tales.

Enjoy!

Tip for sending multiple packages with bring.no

As some of you already know, I've been on a search for better prices in regards to shipping. I've now found something that will be very good for me, and thought I'd just make a video of it.

The video is in Norwegian, I hope that is OK.

So, basically I am showing you how to find out if you can save some money on this.

Hilsen, Rebekka

Meet a team member - Thea from Norne Woven

Handmade fueled by Norwegian Tradition and Lore.

I work with what inspires me and most things do.
Items with Norse spirit. Seeker of tradition and skill. Knitting Leatherwork Pelts Sewing. The creative sprit has no limit.

I work with what inspires me and most things do.
Viking tradition especially.

I grew up in a very creative household and as I grew older and started top see the world from a different perspective I saw the true beauty that tradition holds.

Ive done and still do my best to actively pursue crafts to learn as much as possible and my items range from the very traditional to the more modern items using old ways of creating them. All of my stitching is done by hand, the prints are always handpainted or done using traditional norwegian made printingblocks or a combination of the two.

All of my sheepskin comes from sheep born and raised in the norwegian mountains and then tanned at Norways oldest tannery, the lamb or deerskin lining I use equally so. the linnen thread and beeswax I coat it with is also Norwgian made items.
this is an important aspect of my craft, resulting in high quality and authenticity.

All of the colors are completely natural and unique to each individual sheep, I always try to keep a nice variety of colors but some times it takes time for the supplies to reach me. If youre looking for something specific please message me and I will do my very best to aquire the right material for your needs.

NorneWoven is ,and I assume always be, an eclectic mix of the crafts and magical items I find inspiring and that I hope you will see the beauty in as well.
But it will always be centered around my passion for pelt work and honoring the gods and the old ways.

Tusen takk

-NorneWoven

Question and answer from ETSY regarding digital VAT and registered Norwegian sellers

Here is a question I sent to ETSY regarding registered Norwegian sellers and the digital item VAT, and the answer I got from ETSY:

Hi !

I'm the team captain of the Made In Norway etsy team and a little question has come up in our forums last week.

For sellers who sell digital items, we understand that ETSY takes care of collecting and returning the VAT to the correct authorities.

But what if a seller has filed a VAT ID on ETSY, and so is VAT accountable in Norway, does ETSY stops collecting the digital VAT for their Norwegian customers ? How does it work ?

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to this question.

 ............................................

Hi
Thanks for getting in touch with us. I'm happy to clarify how digital VAT works on Etsy. You do not need to file VAT on digital goods with your tax returns.
No matter where your shop is located, or if you have provided a VAT ID in your account, Etsy is required to collect VAT for digital purchases from buyers in a number of countries.
As a platform for digital items, Etsy is responsible for the collection and remittance of VAT on digital items purchased in Australia, the EU, India, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, or Switzerland. In all digital item cases, Etsy will take the VAT paid by the buyer and remit it to the relevant tax authorities.
Etsy will automatically detect if a buyer is in Australia, the EU, India, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, or Switzerland and add the appropriate VAT percentage for their region to the listing price if the item is a digital download. Buyers will see the VAT-inclusive price on each applicable listing, as well as in their cart, invoice, and purchase page.
I hope this helps! Please feel free to write back with any other questions you have.
All the best,
Raphaele
